O'er morning snow
and across hills glazed white
The sun rises again
Killing envious night
Looking both ways before she crossed
Making sure she was not lost
The warmth of winter
under a cold stare
Laces of bright red
Snow stained by hair
Death died in her arms
And a new season born
To a great fiery woman
who was so long forlorn
I saw the foxes emerge from home
and a murder of crows on the wing
I felt a cool breeze whisper
And heard the robin sing
Time thaws out,
Time begins to run
All just for that
red-crested sun
